EnshittiVacation

Over the past few years, as my software background has grown and I've interacted with increasingly more software services, I've noticed the slow creep of dark patterns, manipulative features, and the sheer increase in frustration of just making the software "work" for what it brags and advertises it is best at. This process was coined by Cory Doctorow as "enshittification" - the slow, deliberate degradation of software products we actually used to like.

I think we've all noticed it, and for me at least, it became a pretty common norm that I accepted just because of how ubiquitous it has become. So I wanted to capture that experience in a short, and hopefully comical, experience.

EnshittiVacation is a vacation planning site "helping" you go on the trip of your lifetime. So hope you can try it out and see how far you can get 😁
